Last week my family experienced the joy of celebrating my twin's 11th birthday. I started my business when they were infants and it has grown with them. Changing and adapting just as children do. They love to craft along side me and always have opinions about my creative vision, but I'm glad they speak up. They are often right. So, in honor of their birthday, I whipped up a new birthday banner that will hang above our fire place till after their party. It's a rainbow painting party, so we have been decorating with all the rainbows! If you would like to make your own birthday banner, or spell out some other sentiment on a quilt (I smell children would be a great option) I have finalized the whole alphabet. This foundation paper piecing pattern includes all 4 sizes from 1.5" to 8" so they can fit into whatever amazing thing you are creating.
This week I am going to set up a sewing area just for them. They love working in my studio while I'm down there, and it's high time we aren't sharing a sewing machine. They are both making their own Halloween costumes this year, so we are in the final crunch. Happy Sewing, |

Hi, Reader! I just released my Year in Review Video, and I’d love for you to watch it. This is one of those videos you can put on while you’re doing something else. Fold laundry. Work on a project. Tidy your sewing table. I’ll hang out with you and talk through what I made, researched, explored, and obsessed over this year — a creative body double, whenever you need one. It’s a look back at a year that was equal parts chaos and creativity: Embroidered Santa overalls (yes, Santa rides a...
